As a result, the wastegate duty cycles are reduced resulting in peak boost at lower RPM and therefore performance is increased. The two individual filters provide a larger filtration area as compared to the single stock panel filter.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eFurthermore, in order to keep inlet air temperatures down, the Venturi housings are sealed against an air duct which draws ambient air from the same location as the stock system. Since the 911 Turbo engine bay is densely packed, high IATs can only be avoided by ensuring a fully sealed intake system. Utilising our Patented Venturi Housing concept, airflow is able to negotiate through the filters with a much less tortuous path thus reducing the drag of the system. Furthermore by increasing the overall volume in the intake, the maximum flow capacity has also been increased. Using bespoke filters with an outer diameter of 192mm or 7.5″ boasting a filtration surface area of over 110,000mm^2 each, we have made maximum use of the available space. Intake air temperatures have also been minimised by ensuring a sealed system as well as using carbon fiber which has a low thermal conductivity coefficient across the wall thickness.
